The details

The professional ATH-M20x headphones adorn a modern design and top-quality materials that help to deliver the best audio experience possible. It gives you an enhanced, powerful, and comfortable listening session with effective noise cancellation. Whether you want headphones for daily commutes or professional use; tracking and mixing, these headphones are perfect!

Sound quality

The unit possesses robust 40mm drivers that have inbuilt rare earth magnets and copper-clad aluminum voice coils. The unit has one of the smoothest audio experiences with exceptional clarity and bass. Although, we noticed that the instruments and percussions were more prominent than the bass. Besides this, the headphones have been specifically tuned to perfection so that they can give a satisfactory low-frequency performance. Keeping all the points in mind, we think these headphones will suit better people who want these for casual use. They might not be the perfect fit if you are looking for headphones that you can use in a studio.

Durability

The unit is made from leather and plastic mainly which does age gracefully over the years. However, a few people have reported that the earmuffs became a bit harder after approximately a year. This usually happens because of constant contact with body oils and the stress of cushioning. However, you can replace the earmuffs easily. The cord is well protected and insulated.

Comfort

The unit has round-shaped earmuffs which completely engulf the ear so that you can get an immersive sound experience that makes you forget about everything that is happening around you. It seals your ears and allows rich, warm, and lively tones to flow into your ear. Furthermore, the unit is easy to adjust, so whether you are buying it for you, an elderly or a child, these can easily fit over everyone’s ears! Trust us, we tried!

Value

One of the things that struck out to us was its extra-long cord. It is almost 3 meters long which might be great for some people while it might get annoying for others. So, these might not be best for people who are looking for casual-purpose headphones they can use for workouts or commutes. Although, we would suggest these for PC use. You can easily move around even when the headphones are plugged in!

Final verdict

The headphones are totally worth buying, especially if you are looking for headphones that come with extra long cords. The unit does have durable construction however, they are susceptible to wear and tear as time passes. As for the sound quality, it does offer satisfactory audio quality that delivers just the right amount of percussions, chords of the instruments, and bass. Although, these might not be ideal for people who want a bass-boosted headset.
