Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are available in two basic colors; black and white, which makes them the perfect low-profile unit that can be used by teenagers and adults. The unit sports noise cancellation properties, transparency mode, weather resistance, and many other useful features.
The audio quality is decent. The bass notes are emphasized. The upper mid-range sounds almost two times louder and more prominent than the low-mid range notes. So, while the music sounds satisfying, the vocals seem a bit distorted and muffled due to the heavy bass. However, the sound quality is perfect for people who love upper-midrange boost and extra bass. Apart from this, the ANC technology massively reduces ambient noises all around you.
The unit lasts for approximately 5.5 hours when the ANC is enabled. When it is disabled, you will get more than 6 hours of playtime. The charging case instantly charges the earbuds; it only takes 15 minutes to give you two hours of playback time. To charge the earbuds fully, you need to set them aside for two whole hours. On the other hand, when the charging case dies out, you will need to connect it to a power source via USB-C cable for three consecutive hours. A noteworthy feature is that it supports Qi wireless charging as well, thus making things even more convenient for you to charge it. Although the charging speed depends on the mat you are using.
Bose provides additional ear tips in the size; small, medium, and large so that you can find the best fit. We did notice that the outer body of the buds budges visible out of the ears. It does not cause any discomfort but they do feel slightly bulkier than many of its competitors. Besides this, the unit features touch controls which you can easily manage using either of the earbuds. Since there are so many functions, some people might find it hard to remember which earbud to press for a certain control.
The model uses only two Bluetooth codecs; SBC and ACC. This will work ideally for people who own an iPhone but Android users might face connectivity issues and distortion while streaming. Although you can force SBC on the developer settings, it isn’t the same as the aptX codec. Bluetooth 5.1 works perfectly well to locate the earbuds even when the distance between the source device and earbuds is significant. It is also energy efficient and auto-connects to the source device as soon as the unit is taken out of the charging case.
The earbuds are suitable for everyone. It has durable construction and a comfortable design. They mute all the ambient noises and deliver the best possible sound quality that you can possibly imagine.
