The details
If you’re familiar with this space, then you know that Dyson is recognized as the “Apple” of the vacuum cleaner industry. So it’s not surprising that their V11 vacuum cleaner is one of the highest rated models.
Building on the achievement of the Dyson V10, which it bears a strong resemblance to, this gadget boasts a new Torque Drive motorhead, smart suction technology and decent run time. Here’s an indepth look at Dyson V11.
Design
The first thing you’ll notice about the Dyson V11 is its striking design. It looks like a giant science-fiction themed gun of sorts.
It’s also fairly compact and lightweight. It measures 10.3 × 9.8 × 50.6 inches, and weighs a measly 6.7 pounds. This makes it very easy to carry, whether you’re vacuuming from room to room or a flight of stairs.
Features
Another thing I noticed about the Dyson V11 is that it comes with a small circular screen.
This screen displays the battery level in real time, which helps you know when it’s about to run out of juice. It also shows details such as the current cleaning mode, maintenance alerts and blockage reports.
Also worth pointing out is the tremendous improvement on the vacuum cleaner’s motor. Like its predecessor, the Dyson V10, this one also operates at an astounding 125,000 rpm.
What’s different though is the integration of a triple diffuser and the rotating blades that are now a little thinner, longer and have an S-shape. Thanks to these upgrades, the V11 boasts better airflow efficiency, higher suction power and lower noise levels.
The V11 also has one of the largest dustbin capacities. Its 0.2-gallon dustbin means you can clean high-traffic areas and large spaces uninterrupted.
Ease of use
Dyson V11 sports a very user-friendly design. It has one main trigger that controls both the power and suction, contributing to its ease of use.
So unlike other vacuum cleaners, it doesn’t have a power switch. As long as the battery unit is attached and charged to capacity, it’s always ready to kick into action. To get it started, just pull the trigger, then hold it to initiate the suction. If you’d like to stop it, simply release the trigger.
Dyson V11’s cleaning performance is exemplary. It comes with a high torque cleaner head that’s designed to tweak the suction and speed depending on the floor type.
This vacuum offers three cleaning modes. The Eco mode delivers the least suction power, enabling the battery to last the longest (up to an hour). The Boost mode, however, gives you the highest suction but drains the battery fast (15 minutes runtime).
Auto mode hits the sweet spot between these two factors, allowing the battery to last a decent 40 minutes. In this setting, the gadget uses its sensors to detect the amount of dirt on a surface and adjust the suction and speed accordingly.
Value
Given all the high-end features that it comes with, the high pricing of Dyson V11 is not too surprising. It requires a hefty investment upfront, but it’s certainly worth it.
Final verdict
Dyson V11 is the perfect vacuum cleaner if you’re looking for one with sophisticated features. Some of the elemebts you can expect entail a Dynamic Load Sensor that alters its motor speed depending on the type of floor, three cleaning modes, a long runtime and significantly more suction.
