The details
Living in a small apartment has its pros and cons. There’s less space to clean, and on the flip side, it’s challenging to use a large vacuum cleaner. The Eureka Airspeed vacuum cleaner is a perfect buy for homeowners living in such spaces. It’s lightweight and compact hence less tasking when carrying.
Design
The vacuum cleaner weighs a little over 7 pounds, making it easy to maneuver from one room to another. What’s more, the upright design makes storage easy because it can stand alone in a closet or other storage area.
Features
Most vacuum cleaners under $100 often compromise on essential features but not the Eureka Airspeed vacuum cleaner.
Eureka manages to fit a few handy ones in this 7.7-pound vacuum cleaner. The most notable is the quick-release handle that makes it easy to clean surfaces above the floor.
I also loved that I could attach the dusting brush to the end of the quick-release handle to clean windows, upholstery, and other hard-to-reach surfaces. The foam filters can also be washed and reused, making it easy to maintain the vacuum.
Ease of use
The vacuum cleaner is easy to use. All the parts snap in pretty fast, and its lightweight form gives it great functionality. I particularly loved its 10.5-inch floorhead that’s wide enough to minimize the number of passes required to finish vacuuming a space.
When coupled with its motor-driven brush roll, I only needed one or two passes to clean a space. The brush roll has stiff bristles that dig into the carpet to remove layers of dirt hidden between the fibers.
However, I found it most effective at cleaning low-pile carpets. When tested on hardwood flooring, it would suck in dirt and spew it back from the rear of the hoover.
Value
The vacuum cleaner is a great buy for the price. Its overall construction, additional attachments, and suction are reasonable for the price point. And with a washable filter and a bagless design, I get to cut back on maintenance costs significantly.
Final verdict
Overall, the Eureka Airspeed vacuum cleaner is a good budget-friendly device. The upright design, wide floorhead, ease of cleaning, and storage come in handy for buyers who don’t want to invest lots of money in cleaning equipment.
However, its short cord length, moderate suction power, and the need to unclog the hose regularly might be the trade-off for this affordable vacuum cleaner.
