The details
Overall, humidifiers are not an overly expensive piece of equipment. But if you’re looking to add several units, the cost can add up quickly.
If this is the case, you’re better off investing in low-priced models like the Magictec cool mist. Wondering what other features this unit has to offer? Read on to learn more.
Features
The Magictec humidifier has a minimalist design, which is okay if you’re not looking for a gadget that will steal the show with its looks. It comes in a black hue, and a somewhat cylindrical shape.
What makes this unit intriguing though entails its compact and lightweight design. It measures 11.57 by 7.99 by 7.76 inches, meaning it’s small enough to fit on a nightstand, or bookshelf. And since it’s also light, you can easily transfer it from one room to another.
No one wants to invest in a humidifier that makes a ton of noise when it’s running. Fortunately, this is not an issue with Magictec, whose noise level is rated below 30dB. This is partly due to the ultrasonic technology at work.
Ease of use
Like most of the humidifiers we’ve already looked at, the Magictec cool mist is not difficult to set up. Once you remove the packaging, all you need to do is slide out the water reservoir and fill it with water.
To do this, turn the tank upside down and add water to it. We were particularly impressed by the fact that this tank comfortably sits flat in the sink; hence, giving you a hands-off filling approach. The tank also has a very wide opening, so you won’t have to deal with any spills afterwards.
One of the biggest setbacks of this humidifier is the fact that it has rudimentary features. But considering the price, you shouldn’t expect much. To that end, the unit has a single dial that lets you adjust the mist output settings.
On the brighter side, its nozzle is the 360° type, giving you maximum control of where to spray the mist.
Besides, it also has an indicator light that notifies you when the machine is working. And once the water runs out, the humidifier shuts off instantly- a safety mechanism that I admire.
Runtime
The Magictec humidifier comes equipped with a generous 2.5L water tank. Surprisingly, this is a higher capacity than what you get from models like the AquaOasis and Pure Enrichment MistAire.
Thanks to this generous capacity, you can expect your unit to work non-stop for 24 hours or more.
Value
As already mentioned, Magictec is among the least expensive humidifiers you’ll find on the market.
Despite its low price tag, the unit comes with a reasonably-sized 2.5L water tank; resulting in a 24-hour operation. To add to this, it has a 360° nozzle spray, enabling you to direct the mist to specific areas.
Final verdict
Magictec humidifier is specially designed for the budget conscious homeowner. It’s extremely affordable, yet it doesn’t skimp on the most essential features you’d want in this appliance.
This unit maintains the ideal moisture levels (between 40 and 60%), enabling you to live comfortably at home. And all for less than $30.
