The details
An ideal option if you care more about safety and less about music.
Features
Charging time of 2 hours, 6.5-inch wheels, 300-watt motor, weighs 22 pounds, 30 degrees hill grade.
Design
The Swagtron Swagboard Pro T1 has sturdy ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) casing. Its tires are made of hard rubber and have aluminum rims. This board is not an off-road machine so you should stay off grass, sand, and rocky ground.
You can ride this hoverboard in the night thanks to its bright LED headlights. Five light indicators show the battery level so you’ll know when to recharge. It’s advisable to keep the battery above 20%.
The mainboard has silicone gel coating, while the battery is protected with Sentry-Shield casing. These features shield against overheating which can occur in many hoverboards.
Performance
On a single charge, you can travel up to 11 miles at a top speed of 8 mph. This board can accommodate weight up to 220 pounds. Battery performance is dependent on weather conditions and may dip in extreme weather. The hoverboard can go up inclines up to 30 degrees.
Beginners are advised to be extra careful while going up or down inclines. The Safe Stop technology ensures you glide to a gradual slow stop if the battery goes down rather than abruptly stopping at top speed which can be unsafe.
Value
The Swagtron T1 Pro has three riding modes which are learning, standard, and self-balancing. We recommend you start with the learning mode to get comfortable with the board and then graduate to the more advanced other two modes. You can change modes by holding the power button for a few seconds.
Final verdict
Swagtron offers excellent US-based customer support so you are assured of great service. Standard shipping is free and you can get a refund within 30 days if you are not happy with the board. To sum up, the Swagtron Swagboard Pro T1 is a solid hoverboard for beginners.
